Your data should have a clear flight plan.
This page explains the main services SkyDeck uses and the types of data involved. It is written in plain English so members can understand the flow without decoding a wall of legal fog.
Account and authentication
SkyDeck public accounts use Supabase authentication. Your email address and protected account metadata are used to identify your account and determine whether public membership is active. Authentication emails are delivered through Resend using SkyDeck’s verified domain.
Billing
Stripe hosts membership checkout and handles payment-card information. SkyDeck does not store your full card number. Stripe subscription events are used to update your SkyDeck membership entitlement, including trialing, active and inactive states.
Flight and operational data
SkyDeck can process flight-plan and operational information you provide or import, including SimBrief data, callsign, route, airports, flight phase and related state. This information is used to provide ATC, cabin, routing and companion features.
SkyDeck Bridge and PC telemetry
When you choose SkyDeck PC Edition, SkyDeck Bridge exposes simulator telemetry through a local receiver bound to your own PC. SkyDeck checks that local data for freshness before treating it as live aircraft state. Flight-state values used by SkyDeck features may also form part of normal SkyDeck operational requests needed to deliver those features; the local Bridge endpoint itself is not exposed as a public internet service.
Voice and network features
When you use voice ATC or Pilot Network features, microphone audio, speech/transcription requests or generated audio may be processed by the configured speech, AI or realtime-network providers needed to deliver those features. Pilot Network uses a live audio service for connected frequency rooms.
Hosting and service logs
The SkyDeck website and server functions are hosted on Netlify. Like most hosted services, operational requests may create technical logs used for reliability, security and troubleshooting.
Legacy access
Existing access-code members may continue using the legacy token route. Those tokens are used to grant protected flight-deck sessions and are separate from the new Stripe membership entitlement path.
Your choices
- You can choose not to connect Pilot Network or use microphone features.
- You can cancel Stripe membership according to the subscription controls Stripe provides.
- You can sign out of SkyDeck and clear local browser data used for the companion experience.
