Live validation · Seattle to Portland

Validated from descent planning to stand.

A full Seattle to Portland flight put SkyDeck through a real gate-to-gate sequence. The system used SimBrief descent planning, waited for pilot evidence, protected the terminal phase and completed the flight through Approach, Tower and mapped taxi to stand.

Successful continuous test flight
TOD source SimBrief exact High-confidence top-of-descent source detected from the imported flight model.
Route-linked gates 12,000 → 6,500 KRATR and BOOSR progression was driven by pilot and route evidence, not timer assumptions.
Terminal protection 4,000 with Approach The lower 3,000-foot clearance arrived only with the actual RNAV approach clearance.
Flight completion Runway to stand D10 Landing, runway-vacated handoff and mapped taxi via Charlie, Echo, Mike and Tango.

Pilot evidence moved the descent

The aircraft reported near KRATR at 12,500 feet. SkyDeck confirmed the route-linked gate and issued the next planned level, rather than silently assuming the aircraft had descended.

Arrival gates stayed attached to the route

The Flight Brain progressed from KRATR at 12,000 feet to BOOSR at 6,500 feet, then waited for the Approach-entry conditions before going lower.

Approach was a real state change

SkyDeck transferred to Approach, continued via the KRATR3 arrival and BUWZO transition, then issued 4,000 feet and later 3,000 feet until established.

The Flight Brain remained locked after landing

Runway 28L, Ground on 121.700 and a high-confidence route to stand D10 completed the test without reopening departure logic.

SkyDeck is still in private beta. Test flights like this help prove the system across different aircraft, airports and real console setups before wider public access.

Optional immersive cabin layer

The frequency has a controller. The cabin has a voice.

Choose an airline style and let SkyDeck build route-aware announcements from the SimBrief plan. Original cabin music, gentle chimes and phase-aware announcements sit alongside guarded cabin-crew intercom requests and low-workload cruise information.

Airline-tailored delivery. British Airways, easyJet, Ryanair, Jet2, TUI, Wizz, United, Lufthansa, Emirates, Qatar and a neutral SkyDeck style.
Aircraft and journey intelligence. Airline, flight number, aircraft type, route, cruise level, destination and planned duration are drawn from SimBrief.
Living cabin intercom. Cabin crew can make well-timed service, passenger and arrival requests, while cruise announcements explain aircraft details and honestly signpost any Wi-Fi, streaming, moving-map or entertainment information available in the loaded profile.
Clean audio priority. Cabin voice, music and crew calls duck instantly for pilot transmissions and ATC clearances.
SkyDeck uses original scripts, generated chimes and original procedural music. The public preview uses the best natural voice available on your device; the protected app uses its premium cabin voice and dedicated intercom controls. Airline selections describe tone and presentation; they are not official recordings or endorsements.

New experience layers

More than ATC: a fuller flight-deck world.

While the protected Flight Brain keeps authority over ATC, SkyDeck can now surround the flight with optional advisory layers: a right-seat monitor, airline style packs, ground crew flow and a cleaner preflight briefing desk.

First Officer

Phase-aware checklist prompts and optional spoken right-seat briefs sit beside ATC without ever changing a clearance, handoff or route decision.

Airline experience packs

Auto mode can infer the operating style from SimBrief and cabin context, shaping briefing tone, right-seat hints and turnaround presentation.

Ground crew

Spoken ramp updates for boarding, doors, tug, push readiness, ramp clear, arrival stand and parking give the flight a living airport feel.

Flight briefing desk

A SimBrief-aware operational summary turns route, runway, cruise, descent and stand information into a clean preflight brief.

The companion system

Everything in one guarded flight flow.

SkyDeck is not a pile of loose buttons. The ATC channel, SimBrief plan, ground routing, cabin layer and pilot reports all feed one protected operating sequence.

Core system

Gate-to-gate Flight Brain

IFR clearance, pushback, taxi, hold short, takeoff, climb, cruise, descent, approach, Tower, landing and taxi-in remain one protected chain of authority.

Voice

Natural push-to-talk ATC

Speak aviation naturally. SkyDeck understands readbacks, altitude reports, TOD calls, approach requests, frequencies, operational questions and emergencies.

119.575Departure

Deep SimBrief model

Route, procedures, cruise, timings, waypoints, fuel, weather and navigation data shape the planned flight.

Mapped ground routing

Stand-to-runway and runway-to-stand routes use mapped airport geometry where coverage permits, with visible confidence.

Hands-on COM radio

Tune active and standby frequencies, use rapid direct entry or accelerated controls, transfer the channel and complete controller handoffs before the Flight Brain accepts your next check-in.

Response & radio reliability

Ask questions without breaking the flight

Request weather, runway information, vectors, frequencies, bird reports, approach changes or altitude amendments. Operational readbacks always outrank conversational questions, and vector arrivals now progress from pilot check-in and intercept evidence rather than timer assumptions.

Honest timing

Exact SimBrief TOD stays locked until live pilot evidence, while the progress strip, countdown and next-fix display share one authoritative flight clock.

Authority before conversation

The Flight Brain keeps the frequency sane.

Conversational AI is useful only when it cannot casually rewrite the flight. SkyDeck separates interpretation from authority, preserving the exact phase, clearance and pending readback unless the protected Flight Brain approves a change.

Questions can be answered while a clearance remains awaiting readback.
Unsupported approach, direct-to and altitude changes are denied rather than invented.
Pilot altitude, TOD, established and runway-vacated reports become live truth.
Tower handoff, landing clearance and taxi-in cannot fall back into departure logic.

Console reality, stated plainly

Built honestly for console pilots.

SkyDeck does not claim to receive live aircraft position or simulator-state telemetry directly from a PS5 or Xbox. It combines the SimBrief plan, an honest flight clock and your spoken reports, then shows that limitation clearly rather than hiding it behind a fake radar screen.

PLAN SimBrief supplies the intended flight and operational context.
LIVE Pilot reports override estimates and rebase future timings.
SAFE Requests requiring live separation or position data are denied cleanly.
GROUND Taxi routes are mapped and plausible, not guaranteed current ATC instructions.

Private beta intake

Help shape SkyDeck before wider release.

SkyDeck is selecting console pilots for structured real-flight testing. The goal is simple: complete gate-to-gate flights, report anything confusing, and help prove the experience across aircraft, routes, phones and tablets.

Applications open · access remains invite-only
01Selected testers will receive an individual access code rather than a public shared token.
02Access is controlled while reliability, running costs and unusual flight scenarios are measured.
03Useful testers complete real flights and report failed phrases, broken states and confusing instructions.
04Selection is not first-come-first-served. We want a useful mixture of consoles, aircraft, routes and experience levels.

Questions before takeoff.

Does SkyDeck connect directly to my console?

No. SkyDeck runs beside the simulator and uses SimBrief, an honest timing model and your spoken reports rather than claiming direct console telemetry.

What device runs the companion?

A modern phone, tablet or laptop with a microphone and current browser. HTTPS is required for microphone access.

Does mapped taxi routing always match real ATC?

No. It uses mapped airport geometry and a confidence system. Temporary closures, local procedures and live Ground instructions may differ.

Why is access currently controlled?

The private beta allows reliability, operating cost and unusual flight scenarios to be measured before wider subscriptions or entitlements open.

Is SkyDeck real-world aviation software?

No. SkyDeck is an entertainment and flight-simulation companion. It must never be used for real-world aviation navigation, instruction or operational decision-making.

Will there be accounts and subscriptions?

The protected shell is designed to evolve into proper per-user authentication, access levels, usage quotas and subscription entitlements.
